Hopping up to a higher-spec Series 3 aluminium frame, the Marin DSX 1 has a whole heap of upgrades over the base spec version. Bolt-thru axles add stiffness and a carbon fork drops the weight and adds even more mounting points for bike-packing bags. There’s also an 11-speed 1X Shimano Deore drivetrain, WTB Riddler tyres, Tektro hydraulic brakes and plenty of reliable Marin components.

SERIES 3 FRAME
The DSX FS, 2, and 1 feature a butted and formed Series 3 6061 aluminum frame with internal routing, 142x12mm thru-axles, flat mount disc brakes, and rack and fender eyelets.
The DSX (base) model utilizes a Series 2 6061 aluminum frame with internal cable routing, and rack and fender eyelets.
TYRE CLEARANCE
The DSX comes stock with 700x45mm tires, with room for 29x2.1” knobbies.
DISC BRAKES
The DSX 1 features the latest flat mount disc brake standard for smooth, controlled stopping in all conditions with minimal maintenance.
DROPPER POST ROUTING
Dropper posts are quickly becoming standard fare for gravel racers and riders that spend significant time on rough surfaces, and the DSX features internal dropper post routing for easy upgrades.
